Thank you for volunteering by sorting and filling backpacks for our Back-2-School-Bash! This will occur from July 29-August 1 with two shifts available 12-2PM or 2-4PM at the Help Center (6800 P Street). We will be filling backpacks with school supplies and then organizing them to prepare for our giveaway event on August 3rd.
Instructions for your shift at the Help Center for Backpack Sorting:
- We are located on 6800 P St. Park in the front of the building (south side). There will be a door that says “Staff and Volunteer Entrance” please make sure to come in through this door.
- Once you enter in please make sure to sign in using the volunteer kiosk. Once done with your volunteering DON’T forget to sign out!
- For safety reasons, volunteers must wear close-toed shoes, shirts with sleeves, and long pants, or shorts that are to the knees. No crop tops.
- Upon arrival, a staff member will help assist you with your volunteering task. PLEASE let a staff member know that you signed up to help with sorting backpacks, as there will be other volunteers sorting other donations during these days as well.
